The way you tell your story matters.
Who are you as a therapist? While you may be able to work with everyone from adults to children, couples to families, what brings you the most joy? Make your brand authentic to you and what lights you up.
The first thing I recommend is taking some time to journal with your brand, by journaling with yourself and getting curious about your purpose in life and this world. Here are some sample prompts to take or leave as you wish:
What brings you joy in life?
What is your favorite part about being a therapist? Why?
Who would your ideal client be? Why?
What is your soul inviting you to do in this life?
How can your career support you in these authentic knowings?
When your brand is aligned with your life path and who you are, you will attract the clients who truly resonate with you and to whom you can offer your best self as a therapist.
Create your logo.
Your logo should be something that makes sense with your practice name, but also represents who you are as an individual—what makes you unique.
I created my logo with Canva for free, though they also have paid options. I recommend this because then you can use Canva to also create the design for your business cards, resume, and any flyers you may need in the future (think groups or workshops) with your logo. You can export your logo from Canva and have it available on your desktop as well for easy access.
Put your logo everywhere. It is how you brand yourself and let clients know who you are in a snap second of visual processing.
